Xbox live and Halo 2...

Well it looks like the rumors are true... if you have a modded Xbox even with the mod chip off you can get caught!  I was just about to hop on-line for some hot Halo 2 Xbox live action when I couldn't connect to the server... I ran the network troubleshooter and it gave me an error that said "The software or hardware might be modified you cannot connect to Xbox live"   Well damn, looks like I'm going to have to buy a second Xbox...

I heard about this too, its a shame, thankfully I already have 2 xbox's side note. Alex i am sorry to hear about the bitch move G4 made. I was one of the many that liked you from the first day on the NEW TSS, I never thought anyone could replace Patrick on the show but you did it. my only moment of hating you was when you beat down the Apple G4, other then that you were wicked awesome! I wish you much luck on your future carrer wherever it leads.

This is not true... that happened to me and a friend too. But we just rebooted and then able to connect. I guess it was just a fluke.

That article above is outdated. It is talking about Xbox Live 2.0... There are new detections in Xbox Live 3.0 and that is why Alex was banned. The same thing happened to me. He probably never touched online with the modchip. I bet he has an upgraded HD. Alex if you have an upgraded HD check out these articles about the new bannings. I suggest changing out to a new HD, flashing a new virgin (never seen xbox live eeprom), and getting a new gamertag. Also run all your files off F (link bios to evox on f, etc) and keep C and E clean. Then run your xbox live only off your memory card so you don't accidently connect. I was banned on November 9th and did this method and have been playing on Live since...

I cannot believe they fired all those great people. The G4 people must be the dumbest people ever. How can you get rid of so many GREAT shows but keep a show about FUCKING CHEAT CODES! When they announced the merger I thought, Ok, some new shows, that can't be too bad. Then there is 6 hours of G4 crap on a day, but it's all right, cuz I still have the best TechTV shows, XPlay and TSS. Now they are firing everyone but Kevin and Sarah, who will probably end up sitting at a desk doing an EP or Pulse clone show, both of which suck balls... What the hell? All that is left of the TechTV that used to be my favorite channel is XPlay, and I'm sure that G4 will fuck that up to. Sorry to see you go Alex, you were just as good as Patrick, maybe better. And now that I think about it, I never did get a chance to go against Dan in the Lan Party... damnit.
